I am so skeptical of centralized social media that I have a filter in my head that checks what I can write before I send it. A German comedian once called this the "barbed wire in my head." Thanks to nostr, I am learning little by little not to use this filter anymore. This gives me a freedom on the Internet that I haven't felt for twenty years. I am becoming more and more confident about simply posting whatever comes into my head.
